David Curran, 2005 Graduate of Platte Canyon HS – Ohio Weslyan University
“We want to let you know what a great experience we had working with Marla Reed and how pleased we are with the outcome for our son, David Curran…As a result, David received inquiries from 39 Division III colleges, corresponded with 21, got academic scholarship offers from 18, and visited nine campuses that would never have even heard of him without Marla’s help…David chose to go to Ohio Wesleyan where he has been awarded $19,500 per year in academic scholarship … Without Marla’s help we would still be at square one with a kid at a tiny mountain school with no possibility for exposure and no way of knowing if he is good enough to go any further with baseball…Please feel free to contact us or have potential clients contact us to hear how truly pleased we are with your company” – Ruth and Dan Curran
Jeremy Lerner, 2005 Graduate of Heritage HS – North Iowa Area Community College
“Upon signing up with CBSA, Jeremy had more than 20 colleges contact Jeremy to see if he was interested in pursuing their schools…Jeremy visited a few colleges and because of CBSA, and only because of CBSA, he was offered a scholarship to a junior college in Iowa…this made my son feel wanted by a program that he would NEVER have, in my opinion, been given a chance…Talk about improving one’s self esteem. I, my wife and Jeremy can truly endorse and recommend without question College Bound Student Athletes. Thanks for all your help” – Neal Lerner
Michael Hunter, 2005 Graduate of Smoky Hill HS – Maine Prep School
“Just wanted to thank you for all the help and support you’ve given Michael and our family…to this day he is continuing to receive letters and calls from coaches interested in him coming to their school…He took his SAT three weeks ago and scored over 100 points higher than he did on the PSAT, in large part due to the test prep program that he received from CBSA…Since the process has begun I’ve seen a change in the commitment level from Mike on the basketball court and in the classroom as well…It’s a wonderful thing to witness his hard work payoff and his dreams take shape…I would like to thank your wonderful staff for all their efforts in helping us reach this point. We couldn’t have done it without you” – Jeffrey Hunter
Jamie O’Brien, 2005 Graduate Arvada West HS – Chadron State College
“This is an all out recommendation of Janel Johanningmeier and her association with College Bound Student Athletes…In the last 6 days since working with Janel, Jamie has received over 25 e-mails from different universities, with several of them being very attractive offers…What is so incredible, is this is well beyond our expectations, and more incredible things are just starting to surface. It is amazing how my daughter's peace of mind has been altered in the last week, including my peace too! It is so much fun to see such a great interest in Jamie. It seems so appropriate for all the hard work she has put in. Janel has proven a great ability to evaluate Jamie's strengths and she has gotten the word out!…It is not just finding how many schools might give you a scholarship, but she helps in defining the best fit for you in regards to all aspects of your life, including education and social. I am so thankful we found Janel for Jamie because there really was not a very good plan in place before her.” – Mike O’Brien
Zach Finley, 2006 Graduate of St. Thomas More HS
“On the advice of a friend we had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Stan Evans to discuss CBSA, an organization dedicated to assisting high school students with an interest in participating in collegiate athletics…The education provided was extremely beneficial to my wife and I. It was also very beneficial to our son as it helped him understand that there are many aspects of a prospective college athlete’s life that are important. It isn’t just the athlete’s statistics that are important. We also felt that the additional college entrance exam preparation kit offered by CBSA could be of benefit as the academics were also of significant importance to us…The results were immediate. We were fortunate to receive quick response to the profile sent out. Numerous contacts were made from the type of schools we had an interest in and we have corresponded with a number of these colleges…We are pleased to know that our son’s name and his athletic and academic statistics have found their way to the schools we had hoped for. Quite honestly I’m not sure how we otherwise could have obtained this exposure other than a hopeful wish that he be “discovered”, which in retrospect seems quite naïve. We are also using the ACT program to help optimize his test performance…this has been an easy program to follow and we are confident there will be a notable change. The additional emphasis put on academic preparation in addition to the athletics is important to us as in 4-5 years it is the academics that will most help determine where one goes after the college sports are over. We are very happy with our journey along this road and appreciate Mr. Evans and CBSA helping to light the way into this confusing maze” – Robert C. Finley
